Bradley first laid eyes on Ashlee in 2005 at Sarasota High School when she became the new girl on campus. Like many classic love stories, Bradley knew right away that he wanted to get to know the new blonde girl. Ashlee wasn’t quite convinced and the chase was on.
After countless hours of phone conversations and instant messages (remember those?) he finally found a way to convince her to go on a date with him. Bradley persuaded his dad to work out a deal to borrow his pickup and a little bit of cash to take her out to Starbucks.
On that date things began to change for the high school sweethearts. Bradley and Ashlee made it official on September 30th, 2006. Their high school memories were filled with love and laughter, as well as the ups and downs that come with the territory of “first love.”
Shortly after high school Bradley and Ashlee forged their separate paths, but as the story goes, “there’s no greater love than your first.” Ashlee and Bradley’s love didn’t end there because the best was yet to come for these two.
Years later they were back together again.
Their love story continued forward with an “ordinary” holiday dinner with their closest work family at Fleming’s Steakhouse. Bradley will later call this dinner the most nerve-racking day of his life. Although for all Ashlee knew at the time it was just another dinner with their friends.
“The nerves came from a burning desire to make sure that everything went exactly as planned,” Bradley said. “I wanted to give her exactly what she deserved – everything.”
During the middle of dinner Bradley stood up to give what Ashlee thought was a toast to the boss and the rest of the team on a great year. Although through a couple glasses of wine, Ashlee realized he wasn’t talking about work related topics at all. Instead, he was talking about her!
When he dug his hands in his pocket to grab the ring box, her heart sunk and she froze as the restaurant started cheering for the newly engaged couple.
Ashlee & Bradley planned the most perfect wedding day, and I’m so glad to have been able to capture it. Ashlee looked stunning in her ballgown dress, and Bradley’s first look is what every girl dreams her future husband will look like as she walks down the aisle. And the day ended with a dance filled with fun and love.
